My husband and I are shopping for a crib tomorrow and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed doing some research today. Can you ladies let me know what cribs you purchased?
Baby Cache Oxford. Not sure that they have it in the stores (at BRU), or whether its available online. I think they're having some issues keeping it in stock--its brand new. We got it new in the box from someone on craigslist.
Definitely read Baby Bargains--it will help to significantly narrow your choices as long as you want an "A" or "B +" type crib.
It's cute but I just posted a message about the mattress not filling up the entire crib area and leaving a gap. I'm a little concerned about that feature.
This is the one we got. The picture doesn't do it any justice, it's abesolutely beautiful, and made from solid wood. We also got the matching dresser changer combo.
We purchased the Bonavita Payton Lifestyle Crib. It's heavy, made with hardwood, and is really sturdy. It's a lifestyle crib but we're not really planning on converting it. Hopefully we'll get to use it for a 2nd baby.
I haven't purchased yet, but intend to get the Gulliver crib at Ikea. It's the #1 pick in Baby Bargins. For use the choice came down to size and price since we need to get two. They are made really well, and convert to toddler beds. Best of all they are only $139 ($99 if you like white but it's nms)

This is the set we got. It is a sister company of Baby Italia and Bonavita. https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3535422 Even though it is really early, we already ordered it because I had 3- 20% off coupons and they let us use one on each piece. Good Luck
We got this one from Toysrus. If you go in the store they should have some 20% off coupons lyin around taht are effective for most of Jan. and so we got it for $210 after tax. It has good reviews too and looks great! We should get it later this week.
After much research we decided on the Simmons Valencia crib in Black Cherry. We love it! It is available at Baby Depot and online in a package at Costco.
We got this one in this color (Chestnut) and put it together yesterday. It got great reviews and is sturdy and I'm in love with it. It's definitely the nicest piece of furniture we have!

We got the Grace Lauren Classic Convertible Crib from Target.
I am about to order this same crib, the Graco Lauren. Walmart.com has it for $120 with 97 cent shipping. The same crib is $170 at BRU. I like that it is simple and goes with the style of the rest of our furniture, it's inexpensive, and has great reviews.
I love that shipping is free and we didnt have to worry about getting it to the house. It actually arrived yesterday and is sitting in a box in the living room!
Thanks Ladies! This helps. I have the Baby Bargains book and I think that is what overwhelmed me. We originally bought a crib from Target, then I looked at the book and it got an "F"...needless to say, it's going back. Good thing it's still in the box!
I think we're going to get the Munire Essex in Chestnut. It's a convertible crib, and the price wasn't too bad for all the parts (about $500, and we'll be able to use it until the kid is 18!) It got an A rating in Baby Bargains.
It's cute but I just posted a message about the mattress not filling up the entire crib area and leaving a gap. I'm a little concerned about that feature.
Strawberry, do you think you could post again when you resolve that issue with the mattress... I just put this crib on my registry yesterday and I LOVE it but I don't want to run into any safety concerns. I would appreciate it!!
