I've decided to wait on naming this kid...

We have a list of 7 or 8 names.  I'm SUCH a planner, but I think we are going to wait until he comes and see which name *fits* him the best.  It feels so weird to me to not have a definite name, but I want something that we've thought about for a long time and are really settled on.  This way I still have several months to *think* on everything on the list.  We had DS#1's name picked out loooooong ago, like for several YEARS, way before he was even conceived.  I know I don't have that much time for this one, but I'd still like some time to think about it, haha.  This probably makes no sense to anyone else but me....

 

I am happy with our decision to wait though Big Smile

    I am right with you.  We have a list as well (an ever growing list).  My H really wants to pick one now but I told him we need to wait until we meet this little guy then name him! And btw I just stole a couple names off your list!

    We're waiting too. We have about 4 or 5 names but I don't really want to decide until I see her and see her little personality. I just think it's weird to name someone you've never met! I didn't name our dogs before meeting them.

    We decided the same thing. My parents had a name picked for me but the second my mom saw me she switched to one not even on the list. And I'm glad bc I didn't like the one they had picked!

    We are waiting also.  We don't know gender anyway, but I feel weird deciding on a name before I meet LO.  We are going to chose 3-5 names per gender & of course we'll have favorties, but I can't chose before the birth.  I think we are in the huge minority for doing this.  To each their own though.

    DD1 born 5/24/10.

    Missed M/C at 14 wks Feb 2012.

    DD2 born 5/14/13.

    Missed M/C at 9 wks July 2015.

    Expecting someone new 4/17/17.
