When did you/will you take out your belly button ring?

in 2nd Trimester

Just wondering when you will or when you did take out your belly button ring?  My belly button hasn't popped yet but it's definetely making my ring stick out quite a bit when I wear a more form fitting shirt!  I've had it pierced for about 8 years now. Will I have to worry about it closing up if I take it out for the next few months? Or maybe just take it out when I go out/am teaching?

    It certainly won't close up. I took mine out about six years ago and I can still put a ring in it. I am 25 weeks and the hole looks all weird and stretched out. Althought I think everything is going to look weird soon. Good luck

    I haven't taken mine out yet (but I still have no bump!). I figure I will once it gets weird/uncomfortable! I've had mine for about 7yrs and I've heard that it doesn't close up after that amount of time! If you will be able to wear it after the baby depends on how it stretches! :)  I'm hoping its not too bad!!!

    I took mine out about 2 weeks ago.  The hole was starting to hurt and my belly was growing so it was time.  Although the ball didn't want to unscrew for a few days--but I finally got it out and so far the hole hasn't stretched out.  We'll see what happens.  Good Luck.

    I took mine out right before our 20 week u/s with my last prenancy just because I didn't want to deal with the ring anymore.  I left it out and now it is just stretched out funny.

    I talked to my doctor about it and she told me she would let me know when I need to take it out. I have had mine for 7 years but I think I will still put it through every so often just to make sure that it doesn't close. I still want to keep it afterwards so that is why I'm going to do this.

    I took mine out around 21 weeks or so, because it was starting to get itchy and sticking out in shirts like you said.  My belly button still hasn't popped, but I'm thinking it might in the next few weeks...

    i made a couple posts asking about things related to this. I was totally worried about not being able to put mine back in, but i've taken it out now. I put it back through every morning just incase, and i've had it for almost 5 years so i'm sure you'll be fine.

    fingers crossed that ours don't stretch out too much. Smile
