okay mom's WDYT LIP

I have finally convinced myseld that I do not need pricey baby bedding as much as I love the set from serena & lilly.  Finding a set has been so hard though...so wdyt of this set?  I'm not into anything overly blue/sports themed/animal theme-ish & I figured with this we could decorate however., plus its $160 as opposed to $900.

    I LOVE it!!! Very Very Very cute & $160 gets you the whole set? Thats not bad. Are you planning on having more? THat could easily be used for a boy or a girl.

    I think it's really cute. Crib bedding is honestly such a pain. Our set for DD was $200 & we didn't use the bumpers & only used the blanket for tummy time. So we paid $200 for a sheet and dust ruffle (I think the diaper stacker came with also). I was recently looking for toddler bedding & found it to be 1/2 the cost. Correction. Found the $200 set to be about $85. The only difference; the blanket is a little bigger (which would have been better for tummy time) and you do not get the bumpers (which I didn't use anyways). So one thing I learned, google around & check to see if the set you are picking comes in toddler bedding, it's typically cheaper. A toddler mattress is a crib mattress so everything fits the same. Even if I wanted to use the bumpers, I could have bought them for $30 and saved myself nearly $100 for the exact same pattern.

    Yep, for a 4 piece set...I thought it was a pretty great deal!  & you're right it would work again & we plan on at least one more maybe two =)

    I bought a pack of fitted crib sheets for 20 bucks.  ::shrug::

    the set is very cute though but I wouldn't use the bumpers, the quilt or the dust ruffle probably.

    I'm not a huge fan of the patterns with the alphabet, but it is cute, it's simple and doesn't shout "THIS IS FOR A BOY". I like it

    LOL i'm sorry :X i also just realized i totally mistyped that last sentence too.  wow.  definitely time for a few days of vacation to get my mind right! :)

    Maybe I'm a cheap-o... but I would never spend $160 on a bedding set that is going to get all... bodily fluided all over....

    This exactly.  I bought very expensive bedding from Restoration Hardware Baby and it's all in the closet besides the sheets.  I ended up buying a breathable bumper because I felt better knowing he's safer.  It was all a waste.

    I think that is super cute!  I like that it has the alphabet and the little characters and design is sort of different and modern.  That being said, I have to agree with other posters... crib sets are kind of a scam.  We have never used the quilt that came with ours and for awhile it hung on the wall, which was nice but now its just draped over the back of the glider and you can't really see the whole thing.  We have been using our bumper for quite awhile but for me, i am thinking there will be more ways for me to incorporate my theme for my next baby's room into the room other than bedding because you just don't see it or use it that much.  So you could always do the sheets and the skirt and then find other ways to incorporate the elements you like with shelving, paint, curtains, items on the wall, etc.  Good luck, it is really cute!

    That is SUPER cute and a great price! I might have to get it myself :) Just know you're going to want to get a few extra sheets.  If you're going to go with a convertable crib, it looks like that sort of theme would be a great "grow with me" kinda thing too once your child hits the toddler stage.
