if you put rice cereal in a bottle for reflux...

How much do you use?  I am switching formula from Enfamil AR to Gentlease because of constipation issues, and want to put the rice cereal into the bottle.  How much per ounce do you use?  Thanks!

  • Pedi told me 1/2tsp for 4oz is ok for now.

I know a lot of people do more, but this seems to be working for now.

  • Mine had us putting 1tsp. per oz in his bottle for reflux.
  • We started with what the box says (can't recall now, but not much) and have worked up to ~1Tbsp per ounce. I use pretty heaping Tbsps when I fill the bottles, so it really could be a lot more.

  • We use an old scoop from her formula and give her about half to 2/3rds a scoop per two ounce bottle.  If we use more she gets constipated.  HTH.
