i have seen it a couple times on this site just cant remember if they were talking about a boy or girl, so threw it out and my SO and he said it was a girls name.

To me the suffix -son denotes a male name (literally translating to 'son of___')

But names like Grayson and Addison ect.. are now being used so widely by parents of girls that that doesn't really seem to matter anymore

I would say it's considered unisex, but I prefer it for a boy

I do know a girl named Grayson- not sure how she spells it. I was thinking about that today too. It's a nice name, but I keep hearing a student talking about her sister- so I'm trying to decide if I can see it as a boys name or not.
