Someone on here suggested drinking coke for heartburn/acid reflux. I've been living on tums lately and just had a small cup to see if that helped and genius- so much better!
Oh that is awesome that it works for some people, it makes it worse for me
And I love Coke and have had to avoid it mostly during my pregnancy. Which is probably a good thing, (less caffeine and sugar) but I miss it!!
that's funny cause I usually abhor regular sodas (I was a one diet mtn dew in a can a day girl pre-pregnancy). But, lately, all I want is Pepsi and Coke and it really really helps settle my stomach.

Crazy how pregnancy changes everything, even soda consumption!! I am so hoping the heartburn goes away after baby comes out!
Yup, soda works for me heartburn-wise, while milk sometimes makes it worse, oddly. Soda also worked well for me when I was suffering from morning sickness in first trimester, but then I stuck to Sprite or something else caffeine-free.
I have never had heart burn in my life, but I swear with this pregnancy the I saw the second line on the pg test and boom heart burn.
My OB actually told me about Coke. He also wanted me to drink one a day to help keep the migrains away. For me ice cream is about the only thing that works every time. Even just a spoon of it helps.

Re: Thank you to whoever suggested drinking Coke...
I've been one of the ones that suggested it on here in the past--one of my co-workers told me to try it and I was SHOCKED that it worked.
I'm glad it worked to you too!
For me, only regular Coca-Cola (not diet, not Cherry, not Pepsi) works...lol!

Interesting. For me Dr. Pepper or Sprite is best lol. But I don't like coke and I had acid reflux prior to baby.
Yay- thank you!!
