It's a boy???

in 2nd Trimester
So, I had my big u/s today and LO would not cooperate.  The tech finally said that her educated guess is that we are having a boy. I am very excited, but also hesitant to announce it, since she wasn't 100% sure. Ugh.  She said I might have to go back in after my next OB appt. since she could not get a picture of his upper lip.  What would you do?

    I'd wait to announce until it was a definate 'its a boy'.

    I would definitely wait until you're 100% sure.  One of the reasons we're not finding out is because there's a chance they could be wrong, and that would SUCK!

    I'd go with boy.  They pretty much don't say anything unless they see something.  They err on the girl side more than boy.  And they will still be hesitant the next time because they can't say for sure.  They don't want to be sued. Only one opinion, but they couldn't see my child's face either and said if I insisted, they'd do another u/s but there is nothing they can do about cleft palate or other face things right now anyway so it wouldn't change things.

    I should post the picture... if I can figure out how to do that. I was just so excited to know today, and feel like I am in limbo now!

    I would definitely wait. ?You know as soon as you say boy (even maybe a boy) you're going to have people buying blue everything.

    ugh it stinks you only got a guess!  Hopefully you'll find out the next u/s - I'm guessing your OB will have you come back because of not seeing the lip
