I'm being impatient, but I'm guessing that since no one has responded to my earlier post that no one has one of these harnesses. An old coworker of mine had one and loved it, but I haven't talked to her in ages, so there's no way I could borrow hers. Basically, Eve and I will be flying alone and there's just no way I'll be able to lug her and her carseat around the airport and the plane by myself. Here's the website: www.kidsflysafe.com
I'd love to get one, but it's somewhat expensive for an item that I'll only use four times a year at most (about $75). So, I was wondering if anyone else wanted to join me in a harness co-op. We could all purchase one together and then when someone needs it, they use it. I can't imagine that we'll have people traveling at the same time that often. If we did then a lottery system could easily decide who gets to use it.
Is this a completely crazy idea or is anyone interested?
Re: CARES Harness Co-op?
Yeah, people have them "for rent" but I don't like the idea of renting a safety item from a stranger. I just thougt with the co-op, I wouldn't be sharing it with people I didn't know who have been sending it out with people they don't know.
Those work really well. The hard part for me will be getting her and the carseat on and off the plane, especially inbetween layovers. Ah, traveling with a toddler. No wonder all those moms I saw before looked so exhausted.
A, you are welcome to take the carseat travel bag. I've never heard of the CARES thing, but I think there are a few nesties who have the go-go kidz thing. We also don't travel enough to justify spiltting the cost.
I know what you mean, it sucks to buy something so expensive just to use a handful of times. I hope you get something worked out.
