3rd Trimester

swelling hands!

My hands are so swollen they are driving me crazy!  I am trying to finish my thank yous from the shower, and I can't write, I can barely hold a pen my hands are so swollen.  Just one more thing to add to the list of reasons why I am looking forward to the end of the pregnancy.  Any advice?

Oh, and it is really impossible to sleep on only my left side, and I don't know how much that would help anyways!

  • I know...I hope swelling goes down IMMEDIATELY after birth...but I know it will most likely take awhile...
  • My SIL had super swollen hands, wrists, and ankles and they decided to induce her because sometimes it's toxic if there's too much fluid storing up in your body...

    Hope yours aren't THAT bad!

Me too!  My fingers even get "stuck" and won't straighten out.  My dr. told me to wear the carpal tunnel braces on both hands at night.  It helps to relieves the pain that was waking me up, but it is still pretty painful and annoying too.  Hope yours stops soon.
