So DD has been waking up every other night (sometimes 2 nights in a row) for a snack, some milk a cuddle then back to bed around 1:30am. This has been going on for a little more than a week... needless to say i'm exhausted. we didn't have any idea what was going on other than to assume she was in a weird growth spurt.
well i looked in her mouth today to brush her teeth and sure enough her other front tooth and a tooth on the bottom have both broken thru...
i feel terrible for not seeing she was in pain or uncomfortable (other than her fussy/clingy/non sleeping self)
and today i left her down stairs (our family room) playing with her tag jr from Christmas to go pee, i come back and she had gotten a truffle (chocolate with cocoa powdering) and smeared it all over herself, the couch pillow and my Ethan Allen custom couch. ![]()
needless to say she was swept away into the bath and the couch was cleaned with the little green machine (thank god we have that little thing).
and of course i got no cleaning done for her party on Saturday and no errands run either since she was super clingy all day...
ug... sorry, that was longer than anticipated...
Re: Mommy FAIL!
Not a fail by any means. It's nice to know now why she was waking up at least!
You could be in my shoes with a baby who is both teething (molars) AND adjusting to a new house at the same time. I don't know which one to blame the waking on more!
yea, the FAIL was more the chocolate... and sadly we are only talking about her cutting tooth #5 & 6 here... there's a whole mouth coming right now... so no end in sight for us.
i hope you can get some rest (and some relaxation) soon.
Yeah the molar that just poked through is number 7, so I totally understand. I think that it is supposed to get easier after the first molar though. At least, that's what I've heard!
eep. yea, we haven't seen any molars yet... still working on all the front ones
but if that was #7 we may be in for a hell of a month
