Having a big brat moment...

So for New Years Eve my DH, me, and all of our friends are getting together to hang out. Well they all decided to dress super nice have dinner then go back to our friends house and hang out in the hot tub and have drinks. Which sounds amazing minus the fact that I fit in nothing much less something dressy, can't sit in a hot tub, and can't drink. I don't want everyone to change plans on my account.... but I feel like I am going to be the 3rd heavy wheel in sweat pants watching them have fun.

Anyone else dreading tomorrow night?

    I would feel the same way if I were you. I don't even know what we're doing tomorrow night. I'm not huge on going out, but this is the one year I would be interested in it. Some club here is having $20 all you can drink and Heather, from Rock of Love, is supposed to be there! Ha, I'm such a loser, but I totally want to meet her big tranny self lol.

    Why can't you fit in something nice?  Didn't get any dressy maternity clothes?

    I'll be in nice black pants and a dressy top, and I'll have my champagne at midnight tomorrow and still enjoy my friends' company... Sure it's not the rip-roaring version of a party I've had in years past, but I'll make the best of it.

    I can see where you are coming from.  I didn't want to be the only sober person out who would ultimately end up having to drive so DH and I are opting for a quiet night at home.

    No I didn't purchase any dressy maternity clothes, up until last minute none were needed and I would rather spend that money where it's needed the most. Plus do to crappy extra fluid I am measuring 5weeks ahead (my bump that is not the baby) so even regular maternity clothes don't fit. I guess I could have a glass of wine... like I said I know it's my big bratty moment.

    We are having dinner then going back to my place. tomorrow i am going to go buy pineapple sherbert and sprite to drink and a few other fruity non alcoholic drinks to drink in a nice glass he he he. All the fruit drinks mixed together (like 2 or 3) is yummy. Have fun!

    Ah.. yeah I bought one dressyish outfit to wear for Christmas etc... so it's been getting a lot of use the past week.

    And go ahead and have your glass of wine if it will help you enjoy NYE more.   Wink

    We normally have a big barbecue and have a bunch of people over..dh is always late on the last day of the year so i normally get everything ready..not this year..there just isnt' the energy..i think he is gonna stop and pick up a pizza and few fireworks to shoot of for dd and that's it..

    I am sure you will still have fun. Maybe you can sit on the side of the tub with your legs in...although we have a hot tub and I sit in it. I just limit my time and make sure I don't get too warm. And have someone (or yourself) make you a fun fruity non-alch drink. Ummm, something frosty sounds good...or have a glass of wine if you are comfortable with that. As far as something dressy for dinner, just wear whatever you can in all black and get some nicer accessories to go with it. And most of all RELAX! It's NYE!

    I am also dreading tomorrow night! My husband invited all of our friends over, but did not ask if I was ok with it until after he invited them! (my brat moment is now over, thank you.)

    We're pretending it isn't NYE. DH doesn't even want to drink in case I go into labor, so I think we'll just treat it as a normal night.

    That sounds like a nightmare to me!!  We are going to a friends parents house and it will be really low key but I am still dreading it b/c I am ready to chop my back off and I get tired by 7pm!!! 

    I say wear what every you want b/c you are prego and you can!
