Hi ladies.....
FI and I moved our wedding date up to February for a small intimate wedding with our immediate family only since we are expecting LO in July!
I will be about 20 weeks along and was curious if this dress would work. it is not maternity, but I figured if I bought it in a larger size and had it altered that it just might work.....
I am 14 weeks now and just started wearing a bella band if that helps at all and my normal size is an 8
any opinions???

Re: Wedding Dress & Preg
Thats a really pretty dress. Have you gone to try it on?
I cannot speak from experience, but I would try it on and maybe bring a small cushion to mock a baby bump.
We all grow differently, at 20 weeks I was still able to hide my bump under sweaters and just 2 weeks later, I can no longer hide it.
ETA: Congrats!!!!!
I think that's a perfect choice! It's gorgeous!! Remember that you'll be a bit more "chesty" than you're used to, so make sure the top fits how you want it.
Congratulations! Be sure to post pics for us!!
here is the link since me PIP came out crappy....

I did order a size larger... so hopefully it will need some altering and will work.
Thanks for all your recommendations and comments! I really appreciate it
I can't tell from the picture if its good. It's very small and blurry.
I'm getting married on January 9th and I"ll be 21 weeks 2 days
When I went to try on the dress my mom brought a bathtowel for me to put underneith the dress to make sure it would flow ok with a bump.
A dress with an empire waist is best so it flows out from just under the boobs, it leaves enough room for belly. Also if you get a bell skirt to fluff out the dress a bit make sure you get a tie one, not a zip up one. Tie it just above the belly and let it flow from there. It will help keep the dress from clinging to your belly.
At the store I tried on a 6 and would have to get it altered if I stayed my regular size. So I ordered an 8 thinking I would be ok. They are doing the final altering on it this week and they do have to let it out a bit. You might want to go 2 dress sizes up from what would have fit you pre preg.
Also find a seamstress who won't be bad at your for wanting to have it hemed the week before the wedding and what not.
Good luck and happy wedding! I'm sure you will look amazing!
