Obviously, I understand the basic concept of 'insert legs into the long skinny bits and pull up over bump', but what do you wear them with? Skirts or dresses? long tops?
I found a great and comfy pair on sale today, but now that they're home with me, I have no idea what to do with them!
I'm fashion-challenged. Any tips or ideas much appreciated.
Re: maternity leggings.. how do you wear them?
I wear mine with a long tunic or this really great jersey knit dress I got from New York and Company.
ETA: The New York and Company dress in the one I'm wearing in my maternity pics in my siggy.

Leggings are like tights, no? So you have to put them on a little differently than pants. Like, sit down, lean over, pull one leg up, and then pull the other up. The leaning over is difficult for me as it makes me short of breath. Not a really difficult thing to figure out, but then again, I was joking.
I'm kind of lazy, so I wear them with just about everything.
Thank goodness for low-rise leggings and low-rise black yoga pants, I would not know what to wear being pregnant without them.
I wear mine with tunics. I also wear them with a few prepregnancy mini dresses that I can still fit into(and they fit more like tunics now).
Just make sure your shirt is long enough so that your butt is covered.
The cotton leggings I have are low rise and have quite a bit of give to them. They're the Gap Maternity leggings and are probably designed with a bit more ease. Maybe give those a try or have your hubby help you put them on. :-)

I would rather DH help me out of them, sigh.

This. I also wear them with dresses (both maternity and pre-pregnancy) and either my flat Coach boots or some cowboy inspired boots or my Uggs.
Me too! Uggs and flats and a longer shirt, but lately I don't even care if my shirt totally covers my butt. I have 2 pair, one under belly from Gap that are tighter, so definitely a longer shirt, but then a Target over the belly pair that aren't skin tight, and I wear those with everything. Who cares at this point!
