Since we did IVF, we should know exactly what "age" the baby is measuring on the ultrasound. Did anyone's measurements change from u/s to u/s?
My doctor was concerned because I should have been 7 weeks, 4 days and the baby was measuring 6 weeks, 6 days but the u/s tech told me it was no big deal and it happens all the time from u/s to u/s. So I'm confused and doing my own unscientific poll.
Thanks for your input.
Re: IVF ladies - a question
I had a similar experience with my first pregnancy that wasnt IVF. The first u/s I was measuring 6w3d and a week later I was measuring over 8 weeks!!! I think it is just variations in growth rates that can be really normal. BTW, they changed my due date 3 times because of the u/s measurements so I dont put too much stock in those dates as hard and fast. It is a machine making a guess by mapping coordinates. LOTS of room for error.
God luck!
I can't tell you how much better I feel - especially from this response- but from all of you. Thanks. I know techs can measure differently and they sometimes have growth spurts so I've tried to stay calm. But you know...those horrible throughts creep up every now and then. So I'm going to blow off my Dr's comments and just wait until my OB ultrasound next week and she how the bean is doing. Thanks!
