Wipe questions -

General questions about wipes -

 - We've registered for 10 Swaddlesbees cloth and 10 BG bamboo wipes. Do we need different ones? Or additional ones?

- Do any of you use a wipe warmer for your flannel / terry wipes? Like the Prince Lionheart or Munchkin? Thoughts?

- Do you use plain water, a homemade wipe solution (if so...what) or something like BumGenius bottom cleaner or CA Baby Diaper Area Spray?

TIA!!! Trying to get stuff done while I have a little free time....

Re: Wipe questions -

  • IMO you can't have too many wipes.  We have about 24 of the prince lionheart warmies to go with our warmer and I like them but they frey really easily.  We just use cheap-o wash cloths a lot and they can go in the warmer, too.  Most of the time we use just plain water but for really messy poops we use some wipe solution that I got from Jillians Drawers... but I probably won't order any more when we run out - I'll just make my own.

  • I don't think 20 wipes is enough. We have probably around 80 (which is probably a little more than is necessary). We do use a wipes warmer (prince lionheart) and so we have to fold the wipes (accordian style so they'll pop up) so I like to have a stack ready to go when we run out rather than having to wash and refold then restock. I buy wipe solutions bits on etsy (just add hot water). If you do a search a ton of different ones will come up, some scented some not.
  • We just use cheap wipes (prob have 50 or so) in a prince lionhart (regular, not cloth) wipe warmer. We fold them in half, wet them in the sink, wring them out and put them in the warmer (not accoridan folded). We don't use the pop-up feature, but just open the top. We've never had a stink issue- we use them before they get funky!
