If you are just joining, please introduce yourself.

I created a group calendar for us to add all of our appts, due dates and any fun events we want to share with one another (birthdays, anniversaries, etc).  All you need to do is click the add/edit button at the bottom and select the date/time of your event, make sure you include your bump screenname, what the event is and then make your background a different color to separate appts on the same day.

QOTD:  sorry I didn't do our check-in yesterday...I had very little access to the internet all day, as we were picking my mom up at the train station.  Please update the group on your current situation!  How is baby doing?  How about you?

Well yesterday, after scheduling our c-section for 1/11, the perinatologist changed the plans today (after my growth scan).  He feels she is too small still to born at 36 weeks and wants it to be at 37 weeks instead bc she is stable inside me for now.  Soooooo, he also wants an induction and NO c-section, so him and my OB will be discussing this and coming up with the best game plan.  I am pushing for the 37 week induction, as long as everyone feels she will be safe.  I will update with more when I know!

Re: February Love Bugs ? Wednesday Check-in

  • I'm glad to hear you're doing well, Breezie! The longer little Marlowe can healthily be in there the better!

I've been pretty lucky so far to not have had any complications. Baby is doing fine, measuring a week ahead as of our last appointment. Our next appointment is next Thursday and then we go to appointments every two weeks. I don't know why that's so exciting for me but it is! I guess because it tells me I'm coming toward the end. 8 weeks left!

  • Don't mess around, Breezie - it's Wednesday!  Smile

Baby's doing good.  Dr's appts have gotten veeeery boring these days.  I'm dealing with majo-jo 'rhoids that have put me in a terrible amount of pain sometimes.  To my best guess the kiddo is head down, very wiggly, but otherwise not causing too much discomfort.

I just have this overwhelming desire to be done.  And I have 7 weeks left.  Someone find me some patience dust.

  • Pookie and I are doing well. Pookie is growing fast and so am I. Loads of movement, mostly in my ribs. Big Smile

  • Had my first scare all pregnancy, when I realized I hadn't felt him move in 12 hours.

After being on my left side and drinking some ice water I got him going! Whew! That was a scare  I didn't need. Glad he's now trying to jail break again. Ouch!

  • My OB says my EDD is now Jan 29th which is 4 whole days earlier so I guess I am no longer a Love Bug but I have decided she could always some late so I am sticking around. I measure a full week ahead of my EDD and going for my first internal in the morning. She is really wiggly and seems to like her daddy to talk to her at night. The crazy pregnancy dreams started last night and I woke DH up scared out of my mind...he thought I was in labor. ::sigh:: The next 4 weeks are going to be so much fun.

    Don't mess around, Breezie - it's Wednesday!

LOL!  I fixed it...I am clueless these days!

  • Well after the ultrasound at 28 wks, finding that baby is 13 days ahead, everyone keeps telling me how much more they think I'm growing! So even though the Dr says we're keeping an eye on the size and things may even out, so we're not changing the EDD, I'm keeping an open mind of having a slightly early baby... otherwise a big baby! (I was 8 lbs 14 oz, so this is entirely possible!)

I am doing well... except my pubic bone area... pubic symphisis or something. Just pretty painful to do anything. School starts back up on Monday, and I'm not sure how much I'm going to work before baby comes (I'm a sub, so it's flexible). The money would be wonderful, but we'll just have to see if I can stay on my feet all day.

  • I'm on modified bed rest, I get to go to work and that is about it. I get weekly NSTs and internals. So far everything is going along smoothly. My new "goal" date is Jan 25th at which point the OB will take me off bed rest and let nature do its thing. My dad was nice enough to give me a cold at Christmas so it kinda stinks I don't feel so great but thats ok. At least I have off! DH has been awesome about getting things done around here! LO has officially found my ribs. I felt that this morning but luckily nothing too bad but I know it could get worse! LO has also begun to find my bladder which is REALLY not fun!

  •  Breezie you are doing a great job keeping Marlow growing in there! I hope she can stay in until 37 weeks!

LO is doing great. We have another u/s next week to check on his size, he has been measuring a little big (not that we were ever expecting a small baby!). He has been head down for a while, pretty much since 24 weeks, so I am just praying he doesn't get any ideas about flipping now!

I am doing wonderfully. I have my days where I am in some pain and uncomfortable but I am enjoying being pregnant and love feeling Jake move around in there (even if he is trying to bust out of my belly button!) I am actually not that eager to not be pregnant anymore at this point and I am actually just anticipating him coming late so hopefully I don't get too anxious as we get closer. I really don't want him to come before Feb.

  • QOTD: I go for another growth scan on Monday.  As of the last appt. at 31 weeks he was already weighing in at over 4 lbs.  He was still frank breech, and I'm 99.9% sure he is still in that position.  I can still feel his head and back exactly where it has been this whole time.  As of right now I am scheduled for a c-section on 2/10.  The peri is expecting him to be about 9 lbs.

We will see how big he is on Monday, but at this point I don't expect him to turn I think he is just getting to big.

  • Still on bedrest for another 2 weeks or so. OB says it's a good thing we're past the critical 32 week point, but he wants to be greedy and get me to 36 weeks.

We're working on organizing the nursery before my last shower on the 9th. DH is on a mission to clean every nook and cranny in the house, I guess he is starting to nest. We're making lists of items we still need to purchase, since all we got at my first shower was clothes.

    I can't believe it's almost 2010!

DS #1 born January 2010. DS #2 due June 2014.

  • We are doing good we had u/s measurement about 3 weeks ago and everything was right on track. We go the dr tomorrow @845 and make sure everything still doing good. We had our 1st baby shower over the weekend it was fun. Dh and I are finishing up all the last minute details of babies room.
  • Baby is doing well. I have my 34 week checkup in about an hour. At my 32 week appt. she was measuring a week ahead, but that was just the measurement, not an ultrasound or anything. I have been doing pretty well. I complain alot but in the whole scheme of things I have had it pretty easy compared to many. Some sciatica here and there, especially after long hours at the restaurant. But I will live :-) Hope everyone has a great new year!
  • So far so good, just the usual heartburn and some killer hip pain.  Baby had been head down for a number of weeks but at my appointment last Tuesday the midwife said s/he had turned sideways.  No worries, though, there's still time to turn again.  I just had a pedicure over my lunch hour and noticed for the first time that my ankles are HUGE!  Of course, it's possible they've been this way for a while I just wasn't in a position to see them, lol.
  • T & P to all the mommas in need!  Glad to hear Marlowe is doing well!  I'm sure you're a nervous wreck...I would be.

I personally am exhausted and today is my last day of work!!  Actually about to take off!  Woo-hoo!  Only 20 days until the boys make their arrival.  They are both doing good, although I don't know how they have any room left to move in there.  LOL!

  • Baby Daven and I are doing well.  He's still healthy and growing.  I'm having a lot of pain in my ribs on the right side - that's where he likes to kick.  I also can't eat very much at a time and grazing is proving to be more difficult than expected.  I'm not sure how that's going to work once I go back to work on Mon.

I keep going back and forth between wanting to be done with this pregnancy and being scared and sad to not have an inside baby anymore.  My hormones are over overkill, and I'm constantly sweating and crying!

I'm also pretty stressed because our nursery is nowhere near done.  As in there isn't any drywall or flooring!

  • LO seems to be doing well. Last u/s she was frank breech, so I will have another u/s probably next week or the week after to check her position. If she hasn't turned at that time we have to begin discussing the possibility of a c-section. Turn baby! I thought movement would slow down about now, but it seems to have picked up! The last few days it seems shes trying to punch her way out lol

  • Hwy Breezie!  Glad to hear that your LO gets to cook another week :)  Any idea her current weight??  I went in yesterday for a growth scan, fluid level check and NST.  My fluid, on the 2nd measurement attempt, was normal at 10.2 - I was SO relieved.  I still have to go back next week though to measure again.  NST was great and all growth measurements good, just the legs a bit behind the rest... but we expect baby to be short anyway (runs in the family).

  • LO is doing great.... at our 32 wk u/s they estimated his/her weight at 4 lbs 14 oz so on track for an almost 9 lb baby... and luckily all down syndrome markers look like they have cleared up so that was a lovely pre-christmas present.  As for me, unfortunately I took a small spill down my stairs yesterday, luckily landed on my butt and was only like 2 or 3 stairs, a bit sore bur not sure if that was from the slip or the growing belly.  Doc's stopped sexy time for a bit because it looks like i might have lost some of my mucas plug and doc didn't want LO to come too early, so DH is patiently waiting for he ban to be lifted, but he still has a few weeks to go. No major complaints, just happy being pregnant!

Had my GBS test today and will get the results next week.  Also had my first internal today (ouch!)...I am 1 cm dialated.  Baby is measuring exactly 6 lbs. and is head down and anterior (she turned over this past week, thank goodness.  I hope she'll stay that way).  She's dropped a bit too...her feet are no longer under my ribs...now they're just above my belly button.

Saw my endocrinologist too and will be adding 2 more units of insulin before bed since my fasting numbers are up again (she said that's typical in the last month of pregnancy for GD).  I also might have to add fast acting insulin to my routine...before dinner...since that number has been high recently.

I am also praying my LO comes on her own a little early since my doctor will induce if I go past my EDD.  So in my mind, anytime after January 17th is fine by me (38 weeks).  We shall see!

  • I'm glad things are stable for you right now!

Please update the group on your current situation!  How is baby doing?  How about you?

I had my 33 wk. appt. yesterday and the dictor told me baby was head down & facing the right direction!  I know that there is still time to move, but I was sure I was feeling a head in my side.  Turns out it was a butt!

Everything is going well here.  I have this week off due to Christmas Break, so I've been nesting like crazy.  My whole house is cleaned, de-cluttered, and meats have been frozen.  I think it is still a bit early to make & freee foods, so that will be done on my next day off from school (MLK, Jr. Day.).

I just wish DH would get started painting the nursery!  I can't do anything in there until he does!  And he wants it to be a surprise, so I'm not even allowed in when he is working.   He is a pretty good artist, so I'm not worried about what it will look like.

  • take it easy breezie!

QOTD: i forgot to put on the calendar that i had my 33 wk appt today. things went well, especially considering i was in the hospital last mon/tue. couldn't hold down a thing and was severely dehydrated. i was also measuring big, but am back on target now. we are taking DS with us to as many appts as we can to get him acclimated to LO being a living breathing thing and in his face in a few weeks.
