Sequential Screening

in 2nd Trimester

I am going in for this on Monday and I know it includes an u/s. Except I am wondering what kind of u/s. The woman who made my appointment didn't tell me to come with a full bladder so should I assume it will be a vaginal u/s?

    Mine was an external and no full bladder required!

    I did this. For your first appointment it's an u/s on your belly, then you go for bloodwork. If they can't see much on the regular u/s then I'd think they'd prep you for a vag u/s. I had the first part of the sequential done at 13 w 1 d.

    The second part was done on 17 w 3 d - at which time we also found out the baby's gender. I had to go for blood work then as well.

    Thanks ladies! DH will be very relieved :) I wish you all could have seen his face at my first u/s when it was vaginal and the tech pulled out the wand...lol
