How much did you spend on your nursary 4-peice bedding set. Just making sure I am not going overboard.
After taxes, shipping and international fees my total for a 4-peice bedding set, lamp w/ shade and pillow pack is $331.92. That seems like soooo much to me, but if that is normal, then let me know!
TIA
Re: $ spend on Nursary Bedding?
Mine was under $200.
You must PIP when you get it
Yikes, that sounds high to me, but mine didn't come with a lamp or all those shipping fees. The set that I just adored was $199 on jcpenney's website. I waited for a sale and a coupon code and got it for $135! (plus $19.99 s&h I think). I thought that was STILL kind of high.
The best part is that it's definitely a girl pattern, so if we find out it's a boy after out big US on January 18th, I need to return it.
Check out my post from yeasterday..."Need Opinions on Nursary" I pip'd the bedding I like.
The bedding itself is on sale for $223, but I want the matching lamp w/ shade, and pillow pack. (I also want the matching hamper, but they are out of stock) so I guess $331 isn't that bad...like I said, that is also after shipping and international fees. ($55 additional)
I am not buying a full set - just some pieces, and I am having them custom done on etsy.
The bumper is $80 and the skirt $40. I will just get Target sheets. I hate matching so I am not a big help.
When we do buy it, I also plan on just buying sheets. I like the fancy quilts and all, but don't really see a use in them.

So all together my bill was $288, but that included the 4 piece set, and all the accessories (lamp, valance, hamper, wall decor) except the diaper stacker which I didn't feel I'd need. We are not buying a set. We won't be using the bumper, or the blanket because of SIDS concerns. So, we will be buying some fitted sheets, and a bed skirt. The ones I like are from PBK. I think the sheets are 20-30 and the bed skirt is 50.
A kiss he will never forget- Disney World 2014
lol! Thanks! No worries, I don't take offence!
After talking to my sister, who has a 15 month old, she just told me the same thing. She recommends not using a bumper or the blanket b/c of SIDS. so now...I don't really see spending that $ other then the shear "look" of the nursery. I LOVE the bedding...but could that $ be used for something better...I think I will have to sleep on this one.
Thanks again for all your help ladies!
