hi girls .. my hubby and i are in our 5th month TTC.. with each month that goes by it's harder and harder to avoid alcohol during the 2WW lol.. Anyone here follow the 'drink til it's pink' motto? with NYE tomorrow, i'd like to have a few drinks since we're going out with a group of friends.. i also feel like i'm 'out' this month for some reason.. which brings me to my next question.. did you have a gut feeling you were pregnant before you tested positive? each month i'm waiting for my boobs to hurt or feel 'different' in some way..that seems to never happen and i automaticaly count myself out a week before i'm even supposed to get my period (dumb i know). i'm hoping for some "if we weren't trying i'd never know i was pregnant" stories!! thanks all (and congrats on your BFPs!)
Re: alcohol before BFP?
The night before I got my BFP, I had quite a few drinks. I know alot of girls follow the drink till its pink rule. When I tested I had been feeling certain symptoms, but i just chalked them up to Christmas jitters and pre Aunt Flow.

I had a glass of wine at 3DPO but nothing after that. While TTC, I didn't drink much, if anything, in the 2WW.
I did have a strong feeling I was pregnant because my cramps were really strong and different (pulling and twinges) around 6-7 DPO and my boobs hurt tremendously (they always did before AF, but not as badly). Good luck to you!
The embryo doesn't share mother's blood until about six weeks old. You're fine to drink til it's pink.
I didn't really have any feeling one way or the other.

I was in the drink till it's pink camp. I had a cocktail and a glass of wine (and some yummy unpasteurized cheese) on a Thursday night, some beer on a Saturday night, and got my BFP on a Sunday. You aren't sharing a blood supply with the baby until 5-6 weeks so you are not harming it by drinking before you even know you are pregnant.
I really did not have any early signs that screamed pregnancy to me. I just knew when I had O'd so I knew when to test, and I got a BFP at 11 DPO. I definitely did not "feel pregnant" at all! (Often I still don't!)
We weren't trying, so pre-pregnancy I led the same lifestyle I normally would (which includes going to the bar with hubby every weekend)
The month before my BFP, participated in Halloween parties, had a friends birthday party, and one other trip to the bar, with all of the above ending with me being very intoxicated.
Baby is just fine!
I had no clue I was pregnant. I was going to a family Christmas party and knew there would be drinking. I took a HPT Saturday morning and it was Neg. AF was due Monday so I thought for sure I was out.
I had a lot to drink at the party and even went out after with my DH and cousins for some drinks. Sunday night I felt wicked sick (hangover or possibly KU I was thinking) Sure enough KU.
I panicked that I had drank the night before but my dr says its OK that early and when you don't know.
As for symptoms I had NONE indicating AF or being KU. It was so strange. Once I got the BFP though watch out! I'm the most bloated I've ever been and my tata's are HUGE!!
GL to you and it's NYE drink till it's pink!!!!

i drank before I knew.
I was suspicious b/c my boobs were hurting but i thought for sure it would take months for us to conceive. We werent' charting and we've only been married for 2 months.
I drank some wine here and there in the month of December & i even had a margarita
I feel bad looking back but I honestly really didnt know until I tested.
I feel better knowing now that the baby doesnt share you blood supply until around the 5th week.
we were not necessarily trying. i didn't think i would get pregnant because we didn't have unprotected sex til after i was supposed to ovulate.. so i did have one mixed drink. probably the equivalent of maybe 3 beers... then found out about a week later that we were indeed pregnant.
i think if you're TTC they say that you shouldn't have too much alchohol anyway because it reduces your chances, but i don't know how true that is. i would enjoy your new years, within reason.
