I know, I know I shouldn't be upset and instead grateful that my LO is doing well and is healthy but now I have this to worry about!
Went in for weekly appt. today, had an internal, Dr. requested an u/s done in order to confirm his suspicion that he couldn't feel a head this week. U/S confirmed it ... my LO flipped. Now I'm sitting here hoping and praying so hard that she turns. Right from the beginning, I have been so scared of a c-section. DH and I took bradley classes to prepare us for a spontaneous, med free labor and delivery ... and now that could possibly all go out the window! I have dreamed about giving birth to my little girl and a c-section was defintely not part of that. I know you can't prepare for emergency c-sections if things change in labor, but I at least wanted to experience the possiblility of going into labor naturally and not freaking out that my LO is breeched.
I came home from my appointment to immediately search online for recommendations on turning the baby and I just feel overwhelmed by it. I really hope we still have time for LO to reposition herself.
Sorry for rambling, I'm just really bummed and need some encouraging words. ![]()
Re: So upset: Head down 35 weeks, breeched at 36!
Well, I don't have any personal experience to draw on with this, but you can still do some positioning to help the baby get into place...maybe you came across spinningbabies.com in your search online. That has a lot of good resources to help get the baby in a good birthing position. Leaning forward on a birthing ball is one of the easiest things you can do to help give your baby enough room to turn. I try to do it when I'm on my laptop, watching tv, playing with my kids, etc. because it also helps to turn posterior babies (which I have had, and is NO FUN in labor!)
Good luck! If he turned once this late he can do it again!
I have not heard what "polar bear"-ing is, can you fill me in?
Thank you, I'll check the site out. Come to think of it my bradley teacher did mention the webster technique, in case anyone in class was breeched.
I have no techincal advice or anything. But think of this - your baby managed to flip to breach very quickly. So, you know she can certainitly flip back down to head down very quickly!
Hope it all works out!
It's when you get on your hands and knees and then walk your hands forward as far as you can so your behind is up in the air. I think you're supposed to do this position for 5 min a few times a day...I'm going to check out this spinningbabies.com thing, though, too, I just heard about it today and then it seems a bunch of posters know about it...
when LO is active do Cat dogs- 20 at a time.
Also Sleep on your left side
and check out spinning babies.com and look into their inversion stuff!
Good luck and I pray you get that Bradley birth you want!
