Where my Wii ladies at?

Here is the situation- My husband got me Wii fit for X-mas. I am not sure what I shoudl be staying away from and what is ok. I have been limiting myself to 30 mins a day, and have  mostly balance games but I really want to do Yoga.  I am 11 weeks 5 days pregnant. Any suggestions or input would helpful! Thanks.

  • let your body tell your what's ok, as far as stretches go.  don't do anything that requires you to lay on your back after about 14w or before if you're uncomfortable.  anything that has you balancing on one leg can become dangerous so make sure you have a chair or something nearby to grab onto just in case.  have fun!!! :)

  • Hey I just got a WII fit for Christmas too.. I am LOVING telling people that... REAL sensitive hubby :) Actually I have wanted one for a long time and I just LOVE giving him a hard time.  I think the general rule is if you did it before you were pregnant- it is okay.  There is a guideline to keep your heart rate under but I can't seem to remember (I'm sure I never get close!)

  • I think Wii fit is ok. :) Some of the strength ones might not be the best (sit ups, leg ups, etc) but the rest seem to be ok. I haven't gotten on mine since my BFP because i dont wanna see my weight in relation to what it was when I was on my diet before I got pg.

  • With yoga you want to be careful with poses that have you on your back or on your stomach.  Your body will start to let you know when laying on your stomach is too uncomfortable.  It'll probably fine for another few weeks, I personally still feel pretty good laying on my stomach.
  • I haven't done mine since my bfp, but my first visit with the OB is tomorrow so i'm going to ask her what's good and what's not- i'll let you know what she says!

  • You really should just listen to what your body tells you, dont push yourself TOO hard and stay away from exercises that would work your abs.  Other then that, follow your bodies signals.

  • Mine says the WII fit is great - and I can do whatever I want.  I even do the boxing in wii sports.  The wii is low impact as it has to be what you can do in your living room. :)
  • i got one for xmas too!!! DH and i cant stop playing it.. im getting the Wii fit for my bday (a week tomorrow), i'll just take it easy on that one..
  •  Thanks for everyone's input! Happy New Year  to all Party!!!
