Amazingly awful 5 minutes

While dh was making pancakes, Mason took a frozen can of juice out of the freezer and promptly dropped it on his big toe!  Ouch, big time cut/squished toe and blood.  I had him up on the counter, holding it with a damp towel.  All of the sudden I felt lightheaded, told dh, and continued dealing with Mason's toe.  Next thing I knew I was on the floor, with dh over me, telling me to stay still.  Mason was crying on the counter.  I guess I just tipped over, he tried to catch me, but instead just helped me down.  On the way I fell into a large wrapping paper bucket, which didn't make it, and hit my head on our sliding glass door.

I called my doc, and have felt movement so I am just resting!  All I can say is Thank God Dad was home today, otherwise who knows how it would have turned out!

  • How scary! I hope Mason's toe is ok, and you're feeling better too! I blacked out yesterday, and know how scary it is! Take it easy today for sure!

  • Whoah take it easy for a while that is scary stuff hitting your head and passing out.

DH passed out when I was trying to get my epi and hit his head. He said he had dizzy spells for a while after even a few days after.

  • OMG, SO Glad everything is OK! My heart was pounding as I read your post!
  • Ouch :( I hope you are taking it easy.  I know exactly how you feel ...I also passed out at about 20 weeks once, luckily it hasn't happened again since.  Stay hydrated and keep you blood sugar level :) I hope Mason's toe is ok too!
