I had to fly when I was pg with DD. OB said it was fine up until 4 weeks before my due date, and for an emergency/urgency he was actually willing to have me come in the day before I flew, make an evaluation that day, and yea or nay it up to 2-3 weeks before due date. I've since moved and again travel, this OB set a hard limit of 4 weeks before due date.
Check with the airlines, as well, some have specific requirements as to when you can/can't fly and if you need doctor approval.
Most airlines say 36 weeks, but if you're showing I would certainly take a doctors note to prove that you're ok to fly (and of course talk to your OB about your plans prior).
I asked my Doc today and she said International flights - end of second tri. Domestic flights generally to 36 weeks though she "wouldn't be too psyched if I went to California". I think the issue there is some domestic flights are as long as international.
