Speaking of the UppaBaby Vista (2009 vs. 2010)

REPOST FROM 3RD TRI ...

So, I pre-ordered my 2010 version of the UppaBaby Vista in October and it is scheduled to ship out between January 7th and the 15th ... but I've been seeing that the 2009 version is of course being offered at a reduced price. I was 100% that the 2010 version was the best one for us but I keep going back to check out the "significant" changes that have been made to the 2010 version of the stroller ... there seem to be a few changes:

  1. Added 0-position seat angle adjustment ?allowing for upright seat position (biggest complain was that baby had to always be reclining a little unless she or he pulled themselves forward on the bar ... which I actually see babies do all the time).
  2. Extended seat height to accommodate taller children (1.5 inches taller)
  3. a little more padding in the seat ...
  4. break system is a little easier to work

At this point ... the difference in cost is almost $200. Thoughts? TIA

  • For $200 I'd go with the 2009.

Where did you see it for so much less? We still need to buy a stroller...

  • You know what ... I preordered the 2010 stroller from https://www.pishposhbaby.com/ in October ... they told me then that it would be shipped mid January and today it just so happened that I called them to check on the status of the shipment. That's when I was told that they had purchased like 50 black and a number of the strollers in other colors from the UppaBaby Vista company. They told me that they were selling them for $499 and to let them know if I wanted the 2009 version instead of the 2010 by January 7th.

I actually just called them to let them know that I wanted to save myself about $200 and decided to go with the 2009. Excited about the savings! I don't know if that price is being offered online but you can certainly call them. Good luck and thanks! 1-877-747-4767

  • Ah now I'm totally confused. I was all set to want the 2010 Maya (I love yellow) but that is a huge savings!

  • I know right ... I just took a look at the changes again and honestly, the two moms that I know who have the 2009 edition love it ... I figure the changes aren't $200 worth ...

At this point, the retail price only went up $10 from the 2009 model (assuming you aren't getting it at clearance price).  Retail was $669.99 and is now $679.99

Yes but the online company that I ordered the stroller from is offering the 2009 edition for $499.

  • I went online to the site and it was still priced higher than $499, but I'm going to try to call tomorrow and see what they say.  Seems like a great price for that stroller.  It was one I was considering, but probably wasn't going to get because of the cost.  I may go for it if I can get it for $499.

Yep ... definitely give them a call ... they told me that they were emailing all of their customers who had preordered the 2010 edition but I don't see why they woudln't give it to you ... good luck!
