Try a neti pot for congestion. I got mine at our logo drugstore. It saves my life each time I start to get allergies or any other type of nasal congestion.
Colds are horrid while pregnant. Sorry i'm no help though, I took tylenol cold and drank hot tea...
And I also used Afrin two nights so I could breathe...it is the only thing that worked for me. I know someone who used Afrin throughout both of her pregnancies and her kids are perfectly fine, however, my NP said it's better if you don't use it.

Breathe Right Strips work great too. Drinking hot water with lemon, peppermint herbal tea, Emergen-C, a humidifier... all worth a shot.
And think positive... "I'm getting better. I'm getting better!"
Feel better soon
That's a good idea. Thanks!

Thanks, lots of good ideas! And as you can probably tell from the overall tone of my post, I could definitely work on the positive thinking part!
Why cant you take any meds?
I have also been taking Tylonel, but I think I am going to start taking Robtussion.
Here is a link for safe medications to take while pregnant

You can take some meds, just not the good ones that work!! Tylenol cold does nothing for me.
Call your doc and get a Z pack. That works great! Within a day I feel much better. I am going to ask my doc tomorrow for one.
I don't like taking antibiotics, so I think I'll try alternative solutions instead. I'm just weird about certain meds!!
Hot water with lemon for the congestion and honey for sore throat.
Saline drops for your nose and Vicks for congestion/coughing.
Also, you may as well get a cool mist humidifier. You'll use it for your baby, and it can really help with congestion at nighttime. Feel better!
