Help! We are in the midst of a teething breakdown!

DS is almost 4 months old and he has all of the symptoms of teething.. gnawing, not eating, drooling, irritability (read: screaming).  He is usually an extremely happy baby but he has been miserable the past 3-5 days off and on.  So here are my questions:

Should I worry about him not eating? (he skipped his evening bottle..completely refused to eat even though he has gone 5 hours w/out food)

What can I do to help him?  (would you give him Tylenol around the clock? it seems to help but I am leary of giving medicine to him around the clock)

How long did it last for you guys?

    I would call your pediatrician and see what they recommend. Mine didn't have trouble really until night time so I'd always get in about 2 doses of tylenol or motrin before bed and then give them Hylands Teething Tablets. The teething tablets are worth their weight in gold at our house.  As far as how long it takes depends on the kid. My first dd took forever to cut teeth, like weeks. The twins cut them in a few days.
