SO, whats the size difference between 6 and 6x???

Taylor is starting to wear size 6 clothes (She has had a MAJOR growth spurt in the last 2 months...new shoes, new jeans, new everything).

And there is 6 and 6x.  What's the difference???

(I feel like we just went through this with the difference between 4 and 4T.....)

    My niece is 6x and I recently asked this very question.  Apparently, 6 x is slightly longer than the 6's.

    6X is for bigger kids in general, it is longer and has more room. My niece is a little chuncky and fits better in 6x.

    That's what I was thinking at first, but this weekend, I saw 6x slim!!!

    Must be the length......

    Soooo annoying how kids clothes are sized.

    If you look at the size ranges for 6 and 6X at Carters, they don't overlap at all. The height and weight of the 6X starts where the 6 leaves off. I just assumed it was similar to a 7.
