Babies: 3 - 6 Months

how long is your wait at pedi's office?

Mine was an hour today and 45 minutes the last two visits.  She apologizes each time, but COME ON!  An hour wait with twins!

I know we probably need to find someone new, but she is so nice & 5 minutes from our house.

Of course, if we had a 20 minute drive and 20 minute wait, that would still be less time spent driving/waiting than we do now...

How long do you wait at the pedi's office?

  • No more than 15 min.  Maybe try to get the first appt of the day?

  • we wait 5 min.. literally...

Do you take the first available in the AM that would save alot of time waiting on your end.

  • We always have a looong wait.

  • They have 2 offices- at one it is never less than an hour.  I would get so riled!  We moved and now go to the other office and never more than 15 minutes.  Even if I arrive early- they are really prompt and somehow still never rush you!

  • 5-10 minutes - I love our pedi's office!
  • Wow, that's really long to wait!

We usually have the first appointment & wait no more than 20 minutes.

  • If I go in the prime time from like 10-12 then I will wait 30 mins to 45 mins.  After lunch 10 mins.  My dr. is worth the wait though because he really takes the time with you and explains everything.  Waiting for me is no big deal because I know that I will get the time I need in there.  I can see where you might be upset though with twins.  Maybe ask when the best times to come in are...what are the slower times.

i swear we are at the dr. for a good 2 hrs. every time.

  • I've never waited more than 10 minutes. And it was my fault because I was late.
  • Thanks everyone.  Our next appointment is in three weeks & it's the first appointment after lunch.  If we still have a long wait I think we'll be looking for a new pediatrician. :(

  • I usually wait about 45 mins but I always go in the 10-12 range.  (Our pedi is 1.5 hours away so we can't make it there for the first appt.  He's the pedi for our whole family and we absolutely love him)
  • About 10 minutes.  Love that practice!

  • We usually dont have one, but the last time we went in, we waited over an hour.  It was definitely because of flu season, but it was very stressful.

I think that if you really like your doctor, it is worth the wait.  I can imagine how annoying it must be though ...

  • If we are scheduled with pedi, no more than 20 minutes.

Walk-ins with pedi for weigh checks or the synagis shot can take up to an hour.. usually about 15 minutes.

Our plumonologist had atleast an hour wait from appointment time to actually being seen.

The eye doctor has a TWO HOUR wait from appointment time to when you are taken back to a room.. so it takes 2.5 HOURS to go see him. Plus we live on the other side of town and it takes us 45 minutes to get there, each way.. so it's a 4 HR event to see him.

  • Even at the last appt. of the day, we never wait more than 10 min.

  • Long, at least 30 minutes. And we get an early appointment. I hate going there but I really love our pedi, she's great.
  • early morning, 15 minutes tops
