well, I gained 13lbs in 3 weeks so it raised some eyebrows, they were just curious to see if I was chowing down on McD's or something, haha, they didn't seem too worried but she definitely asked me what an average day for me was like in terms of food.
Then, my iron dropped, so my hopes of controlling it with diet are dwindling so I'm trying the iron supplements now...developed some awesome carpal tunnel in my right hand, got a pap down (always fun), but looks like the babies are measuring a week ahead!
I'll find out more when i go to the peri tomorrow for my growth scan.
Re: Not the best ob appt.
I gained a bunch around that time too. And I also got put on iron supplements. Fun times, huh?
Have fun at your growth scan tomorrow!
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
I've been sooooo hungry this past week, and it doesn't help it's the holidays and everyone keeps bringing over delicious goodies. I'm sure I won't like the scale at my appointment tomorrow. The doctor also just put me on iron supplements. I'm scared to take them.
I had a terrible time with zofran.
sorry about the iron supps and carpal tunnel. my wrists are killing me right now!
glad the babies are doing well, and I say don't worry about the weight gain - if your body needs it, then it needs it!
I'm in the same boat with regard to weight. I gained 10 pounds in the last 4 weeks. I have no idea how this happened, because I actually slowed down my eating after I hit the 20 pounds by 20 weeks mark. It just seems like my body is gaining weight on air....
But I assume that is what the babies need and my doctor didn't seem too concerned. She commented that a lot of it is probably water weight that will stick around until I deliver. I do feel a lot more swollen (especially in the evenings).
GL on your growth scan!
