HOLY CRIKES BATMAN... (lil'l long) but HELP!

Ok so on Christmas Eve my company puts an Announcment of how we lost of main bank that provides over 85% of our business...  ( and I only have 9 weeks to go are you seriously doing this to me now?)  plus add in this economy and oh so many jobs out there.... things don't look or sound so great!!! Well feeling blue yesterday about all the what are we gonna do's.. Hubby took me out to use xmas gift cards that we got for "baby" shopping...

While in Carter's this really richy rich woman hair just done, ring blinging until you went blind...(totally appeared to be the snotty type that you want nothing to do with) comes up to me and says can ask if you know what you are having... i look at the pile of clothese in my my arms and say Yeah-- we're having a boy (as her two boys are screaming...). Why do you ask??

She said Oh you are heaven sent... she quickly turns to the cashier grabs paper and a pen gives me her number and adress ( all while I'm completely dazed as to WTH is going on)- hands me paper and asked that I do the same... I dooooo completely baffled still... and she says i'll call you I have a tons of stuff you can have... OH when are you due-- i shaking say 3/1 .. "OMG my sons was born 3/4"... she rushes out the door and never to be seen or heard from again...

HOLY FKN CRIKES BATMAN.... I went home at lunch time TODAY!! to find my hubby going through 6 big boxes of clothes- toys, jumper-roos... shoes, head rests, walkers...you name it... WTF just happened???  IDK but she sure is an ANGEL..... Most outfits still have tage on them and we aren't talking walmart or target people... OMG>>. WOW....

What do i do? What do I say to this woman.. Do I send her something $$$ ( but is that insulting) a gift basket?? I can't take all this for nothing???

THANK YOU LORD for sending her to me..... ( lesson learned be nice to whoever you come across you never know...)

who the hell needs a shower now??? LMAO but seriously what would you do to say thank you??

    I wouldn't send $...I would send flowers or a gift basket of fruit, chocolate, etc.

    That's AWESOME!!!! She definitely is an angel! I would send her a really nice card saying thank you. I don't think you need to send her a gift or any $ (if you are struggling financially).

    Definitiely a thank you note...but I would probably do up some gift basket of some sort to have delivered (coffees/hot cocos/teas, etc) or even just flowers.  You probably did her a huge favor by taking all that stuff off her hands, but it would still be really nice to let her know how you feel about it all! :)  Talk about being in the right place at the right time! ;)

    Wow! that is just amazing. I might just wander around Babies R us hoping this happens to me!!! We got NO hand-me-downs whatsoever and are in a lot of need for baby girl clothes. Angel is right!!!! That is so very sweet!

    You seriously brought tears to my eyes. It's good to know good people still exist.

    I was gifted 10 boxes of baby clothes, too, but that was by a friend. I can't imagine having it from a stranger.

    I'm with PP, a gift basket and a promise to pay it forward would be perfect.

    Wow.  I kind of started tearing up reading your post.  Talk about an angel.  I'd send her a card with a gc somewhere only because I think the generic little cards that go with flowers just wouldn't give me enough space to say thank you.

    That is so amazing!  Since it sounds like she probably has everything, I would send a donation to March of Dimes, a local shelter or children's hospital, St. Jude's or any other charity that is child based.  You can ask them to send her a card stating that a donation has been made in her honor.  Most of the time the charity will not list the amount donated, so you wouldn't have to go overboard, but for these places, any penny helps.

    What a blessing! God provides - that's all I can say! As others have suggested, flowers and a thank you card would be a nice gesture. But she obviously wasn't looking for any kind of payment...

     Reminds me of a verse from Hebrews that essentially says, "Be kind to strangers for by doing so some have entertained angels in disguise" (very butchered paraphrase). I think that definitely applies here!
