Just put waterproof mattress cover on!

So now I am confident that my water won't break on our mattress now that this cover is on lol.

I know the chances of it breaking in bed are slim...but the $9 was worth the peace of mind!

I just had horrible visions of it breaking while in bed and having to get a whole new mattress, ugh.

    ive thought about that too.  we had a cover on ours, so i figured we would be safe.

    We have one of those that doesn't feel like plastic on ours still. Between 2 dogs, the PG, and now a baby, we wanted to keep our memory foam protected. Thank God too because our puppy peed on the bed a couple of times already.

    Mine did with DD.  It was not a big deal, we just took the sheets off before we went to the hospital and sprayed some fabric cleaner on it.  You would never have known!

    we spent a lot of money on our mattress protector -- it's the kind that's not plastic feeling as well and breathes. We thought it was worthwhile since we don't plan on getting a new mattress for a long time!  Plus, besides my paranoia of water breaking, between dogs and a new baby potentially having an accident or spitting up on the bed, i thought it would be worthwhile!

    We were mattress shopping yesterday and the saleswoman told me fifty million times (while pointing to my belly) that we should buy a waterproof mattress cover because "stains void the warranty."

    The other reason was when I mentioned not wanting a Tempur Pedic mattress because my parents bought one, hated it and replaced it within weeks. According to her they just have bad taste.

    We had a tempur pedic also and got rid of it.  For some reason, it was wayy too hot for me.  Some people swear by it, but anyway, we ended up selling ours!

    lol...I just bought puppy pads that are still in their package...not sure if I will bust those out before or after the baby comes.
