Blankets in bassinet?

So the bottom of the bassinet is hard and LO loves to sleep on my chest or in her hammock so both of those are soft. I think this may be why LO wont sleep in her bassinet. Can you line the bottom with blankets to make it soft. I just went and felt the crib mattress and it seems comfy and squishy so now im confused. Doesnt hard = safer when it comes to SIDS i dont want to risk LO's health just for the sake of sleep. We did just finally add batteries to it to night so im helping the vibration and bear mobile will help!

    So long as the bassinet pad is still flat and even I would put folded blanket underneath it. Those things are thin as toilet paper and I wouldn't like to sleep on it either!

    I put a blanket on mine and tucked it all in around the whole pad. That thing is way to uncomfortable for LO to sleep in without it....
