4-5 month solid eaters - a ?

how much cereal do you feed your LO?  once you introduced a fruit/veggie do you continue with cereal?  how many times a day do you feed LO solids?  thanks!

  • She won't eat more than one table spoon of cereal, I can serve her up to four table spoons when she gets there but she really doesn't want more than one yet.  Pedi said no fruits or veggies till six months.  She eats once a day between her afternoon and evening bottle or her evening and night bottle.  Its used as dessert.

  • DS does not like cereal at all.  He spits it all up for some reason.

Right now, he has one meal of solids a day.  Once he hits 6 months we'll start introducing more solids.

  • 3 solid meals a day... usually cereal once per day.  Pedi said to let him eat as much as he wants... he usually eats 2 TBS of cereal or 1 stage 2 jar at a sitting.. if is is sweetpotatoes... 1.5 stage 2 jars lol
  • I make him 2 tbsp per meal and he'll take at least 1.  I'm giving him at least one meal of solids per day.  He's interested but perhaps is not fully ready for solids. But since he likes the taste and seems to want it, I plan to give him at least the one serving daily.

  • I just dump some in a bowl and mix....It is more than the dry 1 tbs...but I dont measure, then she just eats what she wants out of it. We do cereal and a half pack of fruit twice a day. Sometimes if she is smacking her lips when she gets home from the sitter I offer her just a half pack of fruit a third time. I just keep introducing a new food to serve along with the oatmeal.
