She's just learned how to stack her rings.... I'm wondering if I should attempt to teach her how to use her multiple shape sorters (and very basic puzzles) she got for Christmas... or is that a more advanced skill? Just curious...

DD still gets frustrated very easily so when she tries to play with toys like that she freaks out and starts screming if she can't get them to cooperate on the first try. She got one of those balls that you put the different shaped pieces into it for her 1st birthday and after 2 mins she's throwing the shapes around and screaming at the top of her lungs. I keep trying every couple of weeks, but still no luck.
DS started playing with one just after his birthday, Most of the time he loves it. Occassionally, he gets really frustrated when he cant get a shape in, shrieks at it, then takes off the lid and throws it in. It is pretty cute.
My DD is 15 months and she gets them to an extent. She always does the circles first- she puts all the circles in with no help. Then she does the triangles- she can get it in there about 75% of the time. After that she hands the squares and stars for me to do or she will try to open the tub so she can dump the triangles and circles out and start over. When she hands the shapes to me I don't take the shapes but I guide her so she drops them in- then we clap. If I don't help with squares/stars she gets really frustrated and bangs the tub.
He still hates it. He just rips the cover off and dumps the shapes out. Sometimes we can coax him to put the circle in, but it's usually by chance. He doesn't have the patience to put more than one 1 shape in.
