Evap Line??? ETA PIP

Help!! What does one look like? After I POAS this morning, I didn't time the exact 3 minutes b/c DC was being needy and I was paying attention to her. I glanced at it, and it looked like a BFN. Well, now, an hour later I went to throw away the test and there's a VERY VERY faint line there. I'm guessing it's an evap line. What do those look like specifically? This line is solid and very very faint. I used a First Response Early Results test (pink dye).

TIA TIA TIA! So it's really really hard to see in the photo. Is there a trick that you can do with the color or something?

what color is the line? usually if it's an evaporation line it is not colored

can you pip?

Its hard to tell what color it is exactly. I tried taking some photos, I'll upload now to see if the line shows up in the pics.

hmm....I don't see a line

maybe try taking another test tomorrow morning, or later today

I don't see it, either. If you google evap line you should get some images to compare to your pee stick? GL!

I see a reeeeeeally faint line but can't tell if it's colored or gray. Test again tomorrow! GL!

looks more like an evap line to me. i would test again tomorrow. gl!

I'm not seeing anything but definitely try another in the morning. I got negatives every single day until 11 dpo. Good luck!

Thanks so much! That was the color trick I was thinking about. So, if you can see something when it's inverted, could it still possibly be an evap that you're seeing? I will def test again either tonight or tomorrow morn. I only have one test left though, so I either have to be patient and wait a day or so, or go to the store!!!

I don't see a line but it could just be that blind. Retest!

Thanks! It's frustrating b/c I don't know when I O'd. I got my IUD out several weeks ago, and now I'm almost 3 weeks late for when I would normally have had AF. So, I have been assuming something was wrong with my body, but I am testing every few days. I'm really hoping it's a BFP!

Are those as sensitive as the FRER? I just don't want to be disapointed by a BFN if they would possibly give me a BFN but another brand would be more sensitive you know? We do have a dollar tree nearby!

It could still be an Evap line even in the invert I am pretty sure. If you test again tonight make sure that you "hold it" for at least a couple of hours. First morning urine is most concentrated because normally its been sitting in the bladder all night (6 or more hours) and so the Hcg is more concentrated. So if you do test again just make sure to hold it for a few hours before. I got my first faint BFP with dollar store cheapies. So you could make a run there and get a few of those. i honestly thought that the cheapie tests were way more known for evap lines than the FREFers - i got loads and loads of evaps on my cheapies but never saw a line on a FREFer till my BFP.. i can see the faintest of lines in your pic - can't tell if there's color to it or not but i would def try again tomorrow. and fwiw i felt like the day i got my bfp i could really 'see' the line best on my FREFer (i peed on literally like 3 or so tests that morning lol)

i would totally test again tomorrow morn. was this with first morning pee? i'll cross fingers for you!!

Yep, it was FMU. GOod to know about the FRER maybe having less Evaps. I may just go out and "splurge" on some more of those plus some dollar trees! I must get this mystery solved!
