My back hurts, I can't get comfortable and I keep waking up in the middle of the night on my back. I am currently trying to sleep with a king sized pillow on each side.
What do you suggest for a more restfull night of sleep?
I really dont want to buy a $50 pillow but if I need to I will.
Re: Sleeping Sucks, Suggestions?
I actually find that smaller (standard, not king), softer/flimsier pillows work best for me on my sides. I didn't like the snoogle at all!
GL!
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
i slept with a full body pillow on one side (not expensive- got it at target i think, for like $20)... and a wedge pillow on the other side - that i think was $20 at BRU -- and kept them really close together so i was propped on my side the whole time - and if i tried to lay on my back- i was still sort of on an angle, which is fine.
my OB said not to stress about how i sleep- that GETTING sleep was more important so just sleep however it happens --- which is not comfy flat on the back for very long --- it hurts the bigger you get - so you won't end up waking up that way.
or- sleep in a recliner- i did that towards the end of my first pg.
I LOVED my sleep to grow body pillow that I bought from amazon. I know you can get it from target online, too. I was about 19 wks too when it was "surrender time" and I was over re-propping and re-wedging pillows in front and back of me all night.
So at 22 weeks, I bought myself this pillow and I used it every night until I delivered at 38 weeks 5 days!
I'd say it was worth it's price ($50 bucks, I think) considering how long I used it and how much more convenient vs. re-adjusting pillows in the middle of the night, IMO.
HTH. **As a heads up, it takes up a good chunk of the bed, but you'll be fine if you have a Q or K sized bed. You just won't be able to cuddle much with DH
The recliner!
I slept in the recliner for almost my entire 2nd tri.
