RP from 3-6: sleeping less in cribs - anyone else?

We are in the process of transitioning our girls from sleeping in their bouncy seats to sleeping in their cribs.  Their naps are now shorter and they are sleeping for shorter stretches at night (used to be 4 hours at night, now they want to eat every three hours).Did anyone else notice this when you transitioned from swings/bouncy seats/Pack N Play to cribs? Did it get better?  Did you do anything to make it go more smoothly? We are trying white noise, soothing glow seahorse, wedge to elevate their heads a bit...Thanks!

  • We switched them to cribs at 2.5 months.  I definately remember a wakeful period for mine at about 3.5 months so your problem could be more related to that then the switch.

  • I didn't notice that.  We went from a co-sleeper next to us to their cribs.  We transitioned around 4 months.  But that was from sleeping flat to sleeping flat again.. just in a different room.  Maybe it's because they are not comfortable yet being flat on their back.  I would give it some more time.
