pg symptoms

In everything I've read it says that carrying multiple causes exaggerated pg symptoms, but I just don't have them.  Other than being really tired and having m/s between weeks 4-6  I don't feel anything.

Did anyone here successfully have twins without crazy m/s or other symptoms?

Re: pg symptoms

  • I was always confused by the idea of exaggerated symptoms too. I think it's different for everyone and m/s doesn't necessarily indicate the health of your babies. I didn't "feel" anything until weeks 8-11. I was in a constant state of nausea, but never actually vomited. I think this was pretty mild and by week 12 it was completely gone.Babies are doing great and I've had no problems so far. Just cross your fingers and consider yourself lucky if you feel fine. A lot of women do have awful m/s well into their 2nd tri.

    Congrats and GL!

  • I would say so far (knock on wood) that my pregnancy has been easier then a lot of the singleton mommies in my groups. I had some food aversions but didn't really get morning sickness.
  • I was told the same thing about twin pregnancies with exaggerated symptoms etc. I have been incredibly lucky but had no morning sickness. My only real symptom early on was that I was really tired. I took a lot of naps. Even now, with backaches etc, my pregnancy has still been a lot easier than some of my friends' singleton pregnancies.

  • I was nauseous night and day until about 11 weeks, but only actually threw up a handful of times. Most of the time I could stave off the nausea by keeping my tummy full (I gained 10 lbs. in first tri!). I was tired, but really it wasn't the nightmare that it seems to be for a lot of people. In all honestly my worst symptom was constipation - make sure you drink LOTS of water!
  • Thanks for the info ladies.  It really puts my mind at ease to know that litte/no m/s isn't that uncommon.  I guess I will (try to) stop worrying and just count my blessings.

Hope everyone has a nice day!

  • I had no symptoms in the begining except for fatigue - no m/s one food aversion (chopped meat) but nothing else.  Thankfully up to this point this pregnancy has been pretty good and symptom free.  I hope it continues.  I don't even have stretch marks yet.
