I did not give DH enough credit for actually remembering when I was due to test this month. He asked me several times on Tuesday and Wednesday if I had bought a test yet. I told him I had forgotten to get some. (yes I told a white lie to protect my big news!) I am not good at keeping a straight face though. Apparently I smiled a little too much and he figured something was up.
Right away he came over gave me a hug and kissed my stomach. So sweet. I told him he had to open my gift anyway. We laid in bed and just talked about everything after that. We are pretty excited!
Re: Telling Dh the news..
DH & I had decided we were going to wait until Christmas morning to tell family but, he kinda blew it. lol We were at his parents Christmas Eve, snacking on the couch, and his sister said, "So, when is the other baby due?" She was joking about DH's gut but he didn't get it. He said, "Hey - who told you!? It's supposed to be a surprise!"
We told my family Christmas Eve by Caleb pulling a Big Brother shirt out od a gift bag. They all squeeled and were excited.
I snuck off and put the same shirt on Caleb while we celebrated with MIL and her family Christmas Day. Everyone screamed and squeeled there too. Pretty great!
Awwww
I have my Hubby to thank for figuring out I was pregnant before I even realized I was late. He knew I was due for my period, and I hadn't been paying attention enough to know how many days late I was. After a brief discussion one evening about it, the next morning as we sat in the car at the train station before he left for work, he said "If you're pregnant, and I'm pretty sure you are, I'm ok with that." (Max was planned, he's just about 5 years early). That night we tested & got the BFP.
Funny how keen some guys are on the happenings of our girl parts! I like what your DH said to you though.
Sweet guys make great dads!
