Well, right after I posted my "Surgery" question on Tuesday evening I started having contractions every 5-6 minutes. After 30 minutes they were 4 minutes apart so we drove very quickly to the hospital.
They were 3 minutes apart by the time I got there so after a VERY quick prep they rushed me into surgery. Jack and Evelyn made their appearance shortly after!
Jack was 6 lb 6 oz and Evelyn was 5 lb 6 oz. Both went to the NICU for evaluation while I was in recovery and miraculously a baby was discharged right before my surgery. Evelyn sucked down a bottle immediately and was moved to the newborn nursery. Jack was having trouble breathing (grunting) so they kept him in the NICU.
He is still there are getting better each day. He is off the CPAP machine and was on room air for a tiny bit today before getting back on a bit of O2. They tried feeding him but he is not quite ready so he is getting nutrition through his IV. He is really doing well and we are very proud of him.
The other great part is that I was not able to breastfeed with DD 5 years ago (breast reduction in 2001) but this time I am able to pump and have been bringing syringes of colostrum (sp?) to both babies. I am keeping it up hoping my milk comes in.
We are completely in love and SO thankful we were able to keep both babies in the hospital together.
Recovery is going well (barely ANY bleeding so far) - I will be discharged on Saturday night.
Thanks for putting up with all my questions over past week! After all of that Jack and Evelyn made the decision for me!

Re: Evelyn & Jack are here!
congratulations! They are so beautiful!!!
Glad you are recovering well!
