So my sister's water broke at 20 weeks due to too much production of amniotic fluid. The doctors told her the baby had 3-5% chance of living. The specialist suggested aborting the baby. He said , only once in his career has he seen the uterus seal back up, and produce more amniotic fluid. My sister couldn't abort the baby while she could still feel him kicking. So the doctor sent her home put her on bed rest till 24 weeks. He also said that the baby will most likely suffocate and if not he will have severe brain damage, cerebral palsy and so on. So she went home for the next 4 weeks . Then at 24 weeks she was admitted to the hospital. Her uterus ended up sealing back up and produced a little but not enough amniotic fluid. At 26 weeks she went in to labor and they preformed a emergency c-section. At this point he had a 15% chance of living. Since then hes had mutpile surgeries on his stomach, intestines, bowels, and had his appendix removed. He his now 5 months old, Healthy and still in the hospital, but will be coming home in the next month if he has no step backs. He also will have more surgery when hes 9 months for his severe cleft palate and cleft lip. Hes such a strong little boy , and already has so much personality. The doctors and nurses are so good to him. They all bought him x mas presents. And hang out with him when hes awake. Here is a picture baby Cash taken last week.

Re: My sisters baby born at 26 weeks. PIP at 5 months
What a tough little baby, and GOOD for your sister! None of this could have been/can be easy for her, but I would have made the same choice. (I am pro-choice, FTR, but not like that.) I hope Baby Cash keeps fighting and getting stronger!
GL to your family.
That is an amazing story. I'm sending lots of good wishes, thoughts and prayers for baby Cash. I hope all goes well and he gets to come home soon!
What a tough little boy! I'm praying for him.
PS.. Such a handsome baby!
