Ok, who's with me and at work?

I have a full day of work today...completely ridiculous! I have next to nothing in terms of work! I KNEW I was in for it when the freeway was Empty this morning!

Ugh, anyone like me and stuck at work?

    I'm here too but I'm leaving at 2:00. Half of my employees are out today and I'd say half the doctors are too. It's pretty quiet so I guess that means I can actually get some work done.

    I am. And what sucks most is that when I was hired I was told that I would never have to work holidays as the weekend shift person does them.

    I'm not working today but I have worked many a christmas eve day...sucks!  I'm so sorry and I hope all of you have easy days that go by super quick!

    What do you do? Im thinking about going back to nursing school this Sept, would love to work in L&D Smile

    I'm a nurse. Right now I work on a short stay medical/surgical floor. My ultimate goal is to work in L&D someday, but was told that most places want at least a year of med/surg first. So I'm getting some general nursing experience first. Where are you thinking about going to school?

    Thats awesome :) we have a lot more in common than I thought! Yeah, I've also heard L&D can be hard to get into :( for now, I'll just work on photographing births and hopefully soon, get to assist in them! I'll probably just stay close and go to Pierce. They have a 2 year program and they dont require a whole lot of math, haha. Where did you go? Are down here in the south sound??

      I did my preceptorship in L&D and absolutely LOVED it. It truly is an amazing field to work in. I went to WSU and got my 4 year degree. But plenty of people I work with went to Pierce, TCC or SPCC. Good luck with school! I hope both of us will end up in L&D someday!

    I think we have talked about this b4 but I might go back to nursing school as well!

    i'm at work for another 3 hours and then it's off to cook...yay.  mmm...prime rib...i put the rub on that puppy this morning and it looked freaking delish!

    I work until 3 today. We were super busy this morning and now we are dead. The next two hours are going to drag on.

    I'm stuck at work today too. I am the only one here in my department which is why I had to come in. And I too have to work a full day. I tried to see if I could get off early but I have to man down the fort. That's what happens when you work at a nursing home.
