I never call my Dr for anything but I've had a headache for about 13
hours now. I took Tylenol once and it still hasn't gone away. I took my
blood pressure twice this morning and it was high for me - 126/81. I'm
usually around 105/70. My book said to call within 24 hours for a
moderate headache not going away with Tylenol. Am I just being a worry
wart? Thanks!

Re: Would you call the ob/gyn for a headache?
I agree with this - I would call if you are concerned about BP, but not the headache. Over the past 3 weeks I've gotten daily headaches that tend to rear their heads in the afternoon. I've found that tylenol doens't usually help, caffiene sometimes helps, as does a nap. But some days I just have to power through. I'm working on identifying my triggers which can help: I'm trying to avoid getting overheated and low blood sugar.
Yeah, I'm going to try some caffeine. I'm cleaning out the coffee maker as we speak. I'll give it another couple of hours - it's probably just stress from trying to get everything done for the holiday. Thanks ladies!
I wouldn't try caffeine like some suggested unless you want your blood pressure to go up more. ?
Call your doctor any time you are concerned. ?Better to be safe than sorry. ?Are you drinking enough water though?? ?Early in my 2nd tri I got reallllly bad headaches and I was told to increase my water intake even though I felt like I was drinking a ton already. ?Sure enough, my headaches went away. ?When they came back, I knew I wasn't drinking enough water. ?You'd be surprised at what extra water can do for all of those aches and pains!?
This.
I was having really bad headaches and when I went to the OB my BP was really high. It doesnt hurt to call.
I've been having very bad headaches (including the occasional migraine) and when I went to the OB yesterday my BP was very high also. My doctor suggested two extra strength tylenol and a little bit of caffiene to help my headache, and gave me a prescription for when it gets to be too intense because when I have a migraine I cannot keep anything down for 15-20 hrs normally. I'd call your OB if I were you. I don't think you're being a worry wart, high bp is serious in pregnancy (I'm not saying that to freak you out, just to keep an eye on it!)... good luck and keep us updated!
