anyone else measuring ahead?

im back from my doctors appt. today and im measuring at 27 wks and im only 23 wks! anyone have this happen too? and what are your dr.'s plans ? or anyone have this happen b4 and what was the outcome did the baby early/induced/c-section? im really starting to worry i had trouble with ds and he was 7 lb 12 oz and he broke his clavical coming out. i go back next week for glucous test .

My DD was suppose to be a big baby. I was measuring ahead but she came out weight 7lb 12oz. The doctor thought she would be at least 9lbs. I would just give it time because those measurements can change. Sometimes you will have a growth spurt before your appointment which makes you look bigger but the next time you go it all equals back out.

my doc has never mentioned anything about where I'm measuring. Just curious, how do they tell - was this from an ultrasound or just from feeling where your uterus is?

They measure your stomach (top of your uterus).

By measuring my stomach this morning at 14 weeks I am measuring 18 weeks but they said that was normal with twins.

great questions! i am measuring ahead this time around- 2 weeks based off of all u/s's and 3 weeks on fundal height. i share your fear!

w/dd she started slipping on fundal height measurements after about 25 weeks....and it resulted in TONS of ultrasounds, suspected IUGR and induction at 36w6d to see if she'd thrive externally. She was born 6lbs 10 oz and perfect! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO THINK!

I measured ahead my whole pregnancy, anywhere from 4-6 weeks ahead. My DD was 3 days early and weighed 7lbs 15oz so measuring ahead doesn't really mean much. I think they told me it was just how I carried her.
