When did you start trying for your second?

Some may think I am crazy, but I figured this board would be the best place to ask. DD is not quite two months old and DH and I have been discussing when to start trying to have another baby. How old was your baby before you started trying for your addition to "two under two"? Same question if you were not trying to conceive.

At 9mos. I wanted the kids at least 18mos apart. My due date had them at 17.5mos apart but I had DS2 a month early.

We weren't trying for number two but found out we were expecting when DS#1 was 8 months old. They were almost (shy by 4 days) exactly 16 months apart. It is a great age gap for us.

We didn't TTC #2 or #3. I got PG with #2 when #1 was 9 months. And got PG with #3 when #2 was 10 months.

1 and 2 are 18 months apart. 2 and 3 are 19 months apart.

We started hoping (since I hadn't gotten AF yet I wouldn't call it "trying") to get PG from day 1 of having sex again which was at 6 weeks. I got PG when DD was 5 months.

We are currently not preventing again and it would be nice to get PG again in a few months

We weren't actively trying but also weren't preventing. We got pregnant when DD was 6months old.

We started ttc #2 when our oldest was just over 10 months old. I got my bfp after 3 months (4 cycles) of ttc.

DD was 6 months old. It only took once to get pregnant.

We planned to start when she was 15mos so the kiddos would be at least 24mos apart. It worked that first cycle trying and if DS were to be born on his due date, they will be 3 days shy of 24mos apart! lol

We stopped preventing when DD was 9 months old. 3 weeks later I got a BFP. We thought it would take a little longer, because it took a little while the first time (I was hoping for a 21 month age gap.) They will be 18 months apart.

We were ready to go as soon as my body was. We got KU my first ovulatory cycle PP at 9 months. If it had happened sooner we would have been cool with that. Same thing goes for #3. As soon as we can, we'll start trying (hopefully it'll happen like #2 and it'll be a breeze).

We started talking about maybe having another baby right around 3 months- but thought we would wait until my son was a year. Then, at 4 months BAM I was pregnant. Baby #2's due date is one month & one day after my son's first birthday.

Are you nursing? We just never really prevented starting at around 4 months or so - we knew that BFing wasn't a guarantee for birth control but thought that if it happened after 4 months, we were good with that. I never got AF but did get PG when I stopped pumping at work when my daughter was 10 months. I kept nursing her until she was 13 months old and she decided to stop.
