We went in for our third u/s today at 9w2d. Last ultrasound, at 7w2d, the doctor said everything was still normal, but she didn't want to place us in the normal category just yet. We had no clue what that meant, but since the doctor wasn't worried about anything ... neither were we.
Today the doctor walks in (diferent doctor than last time) and starts off with "Well, the hemorrhage is a lot smaller than last time!" We're like WTF?!? "Oh, they didn't tell you last time?" NOOO! Apparently I have a subchorionic hematoma. It is half the size it was 2 weeks ago and I have never had any bleeding or spotting. But WTF! The doctor doesn't seem too concerned and our next appointment isn't until our NT scan. But WTF?! ![]()
Re: Subchorionic hemorrhage ... and the doctor didn't tell us?
I am betting that they didn't tell you so you wouldn't stress about it. I've had them with both pregnancies and it didn't show up on my ultrasounds from 7 weeks and earlier...the spotting started at 9 weeks and that's when we found it on the ultrasound.
The hematoma shrinking is good. No bleeding or complications...that's GREAT! I hope things continue smoothly for you!
