My OB is pregnant

in Pregnant after a Loss

After the ultrasound today, she told me she is pregnant and due in March! Which means she probably will not be back by May. So she wants to walk me through transferring to another Dr. or midwife.

What news! I have to decide all over again and I was spoiled finding her because it was so easy. I have lots of decisions to make. And I thought I just had to start thinking about birthing classes and birth plans :p

    How exciting for her, and what a bummer for you! Does she have someone she is working with that you can transfer to, or is there another OB in her practice? At least she gave you enough warning to find someone else. Good luck with your search!

    When I was pregnant last time and I called to make my appt with the OB I'd been seeing, I was told she was pregnant and due before me and wouldn't be back by the time I was due. I liked her well enough but didn't like her office staff, and I didn't want to start and not finish off with her. Long story short - the next doctor I found (who had the unfortunate task of telling me I'd miscarried and needed a D&C) is the awesome doctor treating me now. I know it's a PITA, but it could turn out to be great!

    the day I got my BFP at my doctor's office it was about 2 weeks before her due date... luckily not too much of a problem for my pregnancy... if I didn't m/c (the first time) our due dates would have been a few weeks apart.... ahh a silver lining.... i knew there had to be one somewhere

    Yeah, she recommended a couple drs in the group who am I'm going to look up and see if my friends have heard of them. But "PITA" is exactly how I feel.
