Who failed 1 hr GD test, but passed 3 hr?

Just curious I took my 1 hour test on Monday and got the call yesterday that my levels were a little high. I have my 3 hour test on the 30th so just wondering who all passed their 3 hour after failing their 1 hour? I am hoping to go all natural with no meds so having GD would from my understanding limit my chances of that so just worried a bit.

my own doctor (who just went on maternity leave) failed the one hour and passed the 3 hour. As did my friend.

I did. I knew I shouldn't have eaten breakfast before the 1 hour, but the doctor said it was okay.

with my son I failed the 1 hr and passed the 3 hr.

Me! I was 135 for my first test, doc said it was borderline and sent me for the 2nd test, passed the 3 hour perfectly. Just bring plenty to do, something to read, I have a nintendo DS so I played that. It went by pretty quick!

I failed the one hour with my DD and then passed with the three hour. I have my one hour today with this pregnancy. I am hoping I only have to take the one hour one this time.

I did the 1st go round, but the 2nd 3-hour I did 1 of my levels was slightly high. GL to you.

Thanks ladies. I actually had to fast for my 1 hour but my doula told me that the 1 hour has a very high rate of false positives so I am just trying to keep my fingers crossed. Nice to see so many people passed the 3 hour one!

Me! Failed the 1 hour with a 140 or something like that (can't remember) and then passed the 3 hour no problem. It was a pain though! P.S. I love your pic. I showed it to DH and he thought it was funny too.

I failed my 1 hour by 4 points (I got a 135) and just took the 3 hour yesterday...hopefully I passed! I am on pins and needles waiting to find out. I am hoping because I took the 1 hour test in the afternoon and had eaten all day that just made it a little high. GL to you!!!!

I failed the 1 hour pretty badly (with a 159) and passed the 3 hour. From what I understand it's pretty common. You'll most likely do just fine. Good luck!

I also failed the one hour test pretty badly but passed all 4 draws for my three hour test...and I had fasted for the one hour! I was a nervous wreck about it but lack of sleep and anxiety can affect your numbers...so think positively and good luck!

Me - with both DD and this kiddo. Had to do the long one with both, and passed with both after failing the one hour.

About 85% of women who fail the 1 hr will pass the 3 hr.

i did with my first pregnancy. but i think they screwed it up and i was really a GD patient (for many reasons but too long right now).

my 1 hr at 28 weeks: 170 (bombed)

3 hr 1 week later: 1 hr: 174 2hr: 150 3hr 58 (yes 58). I crashed. THey said that is not common...but sent me on my way since i "passed" 2 of the three.

just ask for your number when you finish to make sure you are not "borderline" is my only advice! i ended up with a 10lb baby and had a VERY difficult delivery, and i truly believe that it was solely due to the fact that i was undiagnosed and let just eat whatever i wanted....and then had interventions too little to late to correct the error.

just my advice! good luck! also i want to say i had two other friends fail their 1hr (not as bad as I did) and went on to pass the 3hr....i know it happens a lot!
