We will tell my ILs tomorrow! DH wants to give them all a copy of the chinese baby chart?highlighted?! haha. They check the chinese?baby?chart for alllll the grandbabies! :P
Then we're telling my fam on xmas - and I have NO IDEA how ...?
I still think it's too early to tell on Christmas. I would love to tell everyone but am going to wait until after our next appt (Jan 13th) when we hear the heartbeat one more time to even think about it. Ideally, I would like to wait until I'm officially done with 1st tri.
But we are also the people who waited until 16 weeks to tell with DS:)
Yes, we are! FINALLY!!! I'm so excited! For my family I've got a gift for at the end of opening presents for the whole family. Inside are envelopes with everyone's names and a number on them. I wrote a poem and gave every person who will be there Christmas morning a verse to say out loud (about 8), in sequence of the numbers. They'll slowly put the verses together and figure it out (hope that made sense?) and DH and I can watch their reactions as one by one they put the pieces together. DH's family isn't as appreciative of creative stuff so we just got his parents a card that say Merry Christmas Grandma & Grandpa. 2 more days!!!!!
Yes we are. We have a poem printed out to give to my grandma wrapped up as a Christmas gift. Then we are calling my other grandma on Christmas Day and I am going to ask if she can come up (she lives in FL) in July. When she asks why I will say that's when we are having a baby!
Yup! We are giving our parents baby shoes to unwrap while surrounded by everyone at present time. It'll be fun to watch the chain reaction of understanding.
we are telling our family at christmas as well. we got bibs for each of our parents to open and it says something about, "if mom says no, there is always grandma.. " should be cute.. i cant wait. iT is a little early for us to tell but i have been feeling sick so i mean if soemthing happens, my family would be there for us either way.
I know it's early for me to tell, but I want to tell because I'll take all the prayers we can get! We're driving to my parents' house tomorrow night, and I'm planning to tie a Christmas bow around my waist with a tag that says "Do not open until Sept. 1."
We told the ILs last night and just blurted it out to them. We are telling my family tomorrow night at dinner. I have been pretty exhausted and sick this time and my mom has been worried about me. She told me last Friday I needed to go to the Dr and see if maybe I had low iron or something, ha!
This is pretty cheesy, but when my mom found out she was pregnant with me, she told my dad that the Dr told her she had the Egyptian Flu. My dad looked at her so confused and she said, "I'm going to be a Mummy." It is sooooo cheesy, but I think given the past week, I may just go with this. Otherwise, we have a big brother shirt for DS to wear.
I am only 6 weeks but I can't help it--we are telling family on xmas. I bought personalized ornaments that say "Merry Christmas soon-to-be Grandpa" etc. It's going to be so fun!!

We are telling on christmas eve. Just saw our LO and a nice strong heartbeat today so we are very excited to be breaking the news finally )(I already spilled to my parents so it is our IL we are telling tomorrow).
In a box I put a pair of newborn booties and printed on cardstock little footprints and 'Little feet to fill these booties arriving July 19th 2010'. I am so excited to give it to them!!
DH and I can't wait to tell our parents! We will be telling my parents tomorrow. We bought them a "Grandfather" and "Grandmother" figure that I love and just see how long it takes them to realize why we got them.
DH's parents and family aren't having Christmas until Sunday so we have to wait a little while longer to tell them. We are going to do the whole pictures "Lizzie's Pregnant!" instead of "Cheese!" thing...DH likes the idea of catching everyones reactions on film.
We will be visiting DH's family (out of state) for Christmas, and will tell them then. Can't wait! We will tell my family for our belated Christmas celebration on 1/3. For each, we got a Grandparents frame and put a picture of the sonogram in the frame. For our siblings, we had bibs made that say "I Love My Aunt ____" and "I Love My Uncle ____" with their names
I'm pretty sure we will. It's still a little early, but I'm ok with our families knowing early. The u/s went well on Tuesday, so we are just going to break the news. No big public announcements (Facebook, work, etc) until after our second u/s un January.
